Position: Graduate Software Engineer
Location: Newcastle (Onsite)
The Client: Rapidly expanding financial services company based in Newcastle, renowned for an innovative approach and commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking multiple Graduate Engineers to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview: As a Graduate Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts on 100% greenfield projects, developing new products from the ground up. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions.
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality code and adhere to best practices.
- Participate in testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
About You:
- Educational Background:
- Degree from a Russell Group university (mandatory).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: C#, Python, Java, or similar.
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Professional Attributes:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Enthusiastic about working on greenfield projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable Experience:
- Previous exposure to the financial services sector is advantageous but not essential.
Location: This role requires full-time onsite work in our Newcastle office, Monday to Friday.
