Milk Education are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in our partner Secondary schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne on short and/or long term contracts.

This Teaching Assistant job will involve supporting the class teacher with the day to day running of the classroom and will be based in either a KS3 or KS5 class. You will also be expected to work with groups of children and occasionally on a one to one basis as and when required.
Teaching Assistant – Role & Responsibilities:
· Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
· Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
· Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans asappropriate
· Deliver catch-up sessions
Teaching Assistant – Non-negotiables:
· Have a relevant childcare qualification or above
· Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people,specifically those with SEND within the past two years
· Must have a passion for education
· Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
· Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
