Behvioural Support Mentor - Ashington Location: Ashington Job Type: Full-time/Part-time Start Date: ASAP (September 2024) Inspire Young Minds as a Behvioural Support Mentor!Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Behvioural Support Mentors to join our excellent Primary School in Ashington. If you're passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), this role is for you! Key Responsibilities:路 Support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. 路 Manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner. 路 Build positive relationships with Class Teachers to discuss and implement effective strategies and learning activities. 路 Prepare resources for lessons to enhance learning experiences. 路 Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required. 路 Engage actively with pupils, forming positive rapport and encouraging their learning. Key Requirements:路 Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service; we can process a new one if necessary). 路 A recognised Childcare-based qualification is preferred, but not essential. 路 Strong ability to build relationships and rapport with pupils and staff. 路 Resilient, proactive, and positive nature to handle challenges effectively. 路 Experience in classroom support is beneficial, though not essential. 路 High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils. 路 A genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential and flourish in their education.
