- Assess and provide therapy for students/service users with complex needs, collaborating within a trans-disciplinary team.
- Integrate therapy targets into the curriculum and maintain accurate records.
- Work closely with carers, staff, and external agencies.
- Provide training, supervision, and mentoring for staff and students.
- Use Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to inform clinical decisions.
- Contribute to audits, research, and service development.
- Deliver safe, effective, evidence-based therapy interventions.
- Assess and develop speech, language, and communication plans.
- Manage a caseload, producing reports and therapy plans with measurable outcomes.
- Apply specialist interventions in AAC, literacy, dysphagia, SCERTS, behavioral management, and mental health.
- Communicate complex information effectively to students, carers, and professionals.
- Prioritise caseloads, meet deadlines, and manage administrative tasks.
- Collaborate across PHF services for consistency.
- Deliver training to carers and staff, supervise therapy interventions, and mentor junior therapists.
- Participate in risk assessments, policy development, and quality improvement.
- Monitor equipment and support SLT student placements.
- Engage in CPD, supervision, and performance reviews.
- Adhere to PHF’s health, safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality policies.
- Maintain professional accountability under RCSLT and HCPC guidelines.
- Promote inclusive practice, adapting therapy to individual needs and cultural considerations.
