Senior Windows Engineer
This is a rare opportunity to join a national organisation based in Newcastle City Centre looking for a Senior Windows Engineer for a £50-£55k role with bonus and benefits to join their internal tech ops team.
You will be joining a busy tech ops function which is made up of multiple specialists - the key areas around for this are around the core Windows tech area.
* Senior operational break-fix responsibility for the support and administration of all Windows Operating Systems, VMware and Storage platforms, including O365 administration.
* Scope, design, deploy and maintain all off Windows Operating Systems including server roles and features configuration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Certificate Authority, Web Server etc).
* Scope, design, deploy and maintain VMware Platform.
* Scope, design, deploy and maintain Enterprise Storage System.
* Microsoft 365 Platform configuration for Exchange, Teams and SharePoint and administration.
* System Centre Configuration Manage.
* Configure and support monitoring tooling (SolarWinds)
* Azure IaaS administration working alongside with Cloud Team.
* Security Configuration and Patching responsibility for Windows Operating Systems, VMware and Storage platforms, including M365 administration.
* Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
* Senior operational responsibility for the associated Business Continuity process and procedures related to all Windows Operating Systems including performing Data Backup and Disaster-Recovery, ensuring that the associated RTO/RPO SLAs are achieved on a consistent basis.
The role is 4 days in the office a week with excellent company benefits.
