Our client, a global brand based in Newcastle, are on the lookout for a Studio Manager and Designer to join their Global Marketing function, managing the workload of the creative, digital and photography teams.  This role is to be at the beating heart of an exciting, fast paced creative studio and to help support the workload of the creative, digital and photography teams. The ideal candidate for this role will have proven project management experience and be responsible for making sure that the creative team is set up to deliver all projects to a brilliant standard, on time. There will also be the need to work on digital design, POS and packaging tasks therefore a strong design background is essential. Role and responsibilities:
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across the business, managing timings and deadlines, resource mapping and inputting to the delivery plan to prioritise workflow.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and filtering all creative briefs, ensuring they’re clear and thorough.
  • Assisting on the creative and digital design production side.
  • Creating and implementing project deadlines, goals and expectations.
  • Ad-hoc assistance in photoshoot production.
  • Establish and embed critical paths where appropriate.
  • Ensure the day to day management of the studio project management system is running effectively.
Skills and experience:
  • Proven experience of managing creative operations within an inhouse creative department or creative agency.
  • Deep understanding of the creative process and strategies to maintain optimal performance.
  • The ability to take a brief and allocate appropriate resource.
  • Effective scheduling, reporting and managing of multiple projects.
  • The ability to forward plan resource and adapt where necessary.
  • Understanding of digital creative, design processes and techniques.
  • An understanding of print creative and processes.
  • The ability to work at pace.
  • Great organisation skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Collaborative and happy to work with a mix of roles and people.
  • Creative / Design background with a solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
