GSL Education invites applications for the position SEMH Tutor for post-16 education in Newcastle.
Job Summary:As a Post-16 Tutor (SEMH), you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our students through their academic journey and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the learning needs of students and develop appropriate strategies to meet these needs.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Support students in managing their behavior and developing coping strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with students to build trust and rapport.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress to senior staff and parents.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with Post-16 students, particularly those with SEMH needs.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
