Senior Design / UX Lead – Newcastle

A vibrant, collaborative, team led studio are currently hiring for a Senior Design / UX Lead to join their award-winning team.  As a business they pride themselves on designing and building the best and most effective digital experiences. They as passionate about the finer details and their approach to UX / UI is at the forefront of this digital agency.

The company are based in Newcastle and have a strong team of 40 creative developers, inspiring designers, and digital innovators. They work with some major brands and ambitious SMEs to design and building market-leading web, mobile, and bespoke digital applications.

The successful Senior Design / Lead will need to

  • Transform ideas into visually stunning and function web designs, ensuring a seamless user experience
  • Be able to guide the design team, shape project visions, engage with customers to deliver exceptional design solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate design as a core component of the project life cycle.
  • Be a UX expert who can provide advice and support on UX to the development teams, challenges conventional boundaries and ensure designs are user-centric
  • Can manage the team’s workload and ensure the outputs align with high standards of quality

Skills

  • Figma or other relevant design tools.
  • Extensive experience designing user-centric experiences, focusing on usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction
  • A strong understanding of design systems, including their components, guidelines and principles, ensuring consistency and scalability in design projects.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven success in managing client relationships and delivering projects on time and within budget
  • The ability to communicate a design vision to both clients and team members

Salary up to £41K DOE.
