Frontend Developer – Newcastle

A fast-growing retail business is currently hiring for a Frontend Developer to join their team.  

Historically, this company has outsourced its development work but is now looking to bring development in-house. The first hire will be a Frontend Developer whose primary project will be to develop the customer-facing website from scratch. The backend will continue to be supported and maintained by a third party.

As a Frontend Developer, you will be the in-house expert, playing a crucial role in the growth of the company’s e-commerce offering. You will have the opportunity to suggest new ideas, solutions, and tools, becoming the subject matter expert within the business. As the business continues to expand, you will play an important role their growth.

Technologies:

  • HTML, CSS
  • JavaScript
  • Experience working with liquid / Shopify  
  • GitHub
  • AWS Lightsail
  • Knowledge of React, Node.js and Mongo will be desirable but not essential.

Salary for this role is £35K - £50K DOE + benefits.
