Shipping Manager
Location: Newcastle
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £40k per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding of Navision system (Training Available)
- Organising of transport in line with the shipment dates on Navision so materials arrive at the site on time.
- Ensuring the correct loading lists are issued for the transport.
- Minimise loading errors ensuring robust procedures are set out with loading operators and these are followed.
- Ensure 2 permanent drivers are effectively utilised and their CPC’s are up to date
- Expand network of transport to site using contacts.
- Ensuring our client gets the best value for money
Other Duties :
- Working in conjunction with production team.
- Ensure production plans are in line with the loads to be shipped
- Organise the transport in line with the shipping dates.
- Investigate any customer complaints.
- Ensure trailers are up to date with services and MOT’s.
- Arrange cover for drivers, holidays or sickness.
- Invoice daily despatches.
- Control of the Haulier invoices
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- 40hrs Per Week
