- Kinetic Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Multiskilled) for a permanent position in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
- The role involves ensuring the reliability of plant and machinery, addressing breakdowns efficiently, and performing both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Candidates should have prior experience in a maintenance role within heavy engineering or manufacturing, preferably with PLC experience.
- A mechanical or electrical qualification, such as HNC or equivalent, is required, along with flexibility to work on a 2 or 3 shift pattern.
- The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should have relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
Main responsibilities will include:
To carry out planned maintenance to the required standard.
To carry out reactive maintenance when required
To be able to coordinate and cooperate with production supervision on a day to day basis, to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment
Continuous promotion of best H&S practise
To proactively help reduce function accident statistics
Shift pattern TBC, candidates must be flexible to work on a 2 shift or a 3 shift pattern.
Mechanical or Electrical qualification HNC or equivalent.
Candidates must have worked in a maintenance role previously within heavy engineering/ manufacturing in a fast paced environment.
PLC experience would be an advantage.
