Working for one of the UKs largest established FMCG businesses, who provide their retail solutions for thousands of customers across the length and breadth of the UK, this is a new role within the Finance Department not to be missed.

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, at the UK Head Office they continue to diversify to keep up with the ever-changing challenges of their industry which makes working for them interesting and rewarding.

As the Management Accountant, you will be tasked with the production of the monthly management accounts for key operational functions of the business. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved across all areas of finance, adding value in this key role within the team, whilst having the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Manager and key business stakeholders.

Main responsibilities of the Management Accountant role will include:

  • To take ownership of the month-end process, to prepare the monthly management accounts and related financial analysis
  • Production of Revenue Reports and KPIs.
  • To maintain financial control of all balance sheet accounts including stock, provisions and accruals.
  • Cashflow reporting and forecasting.
  • To assist in the investigation, analysis and explanation of all variances compared with budget and business plan targets.
  • Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel and experience of interrogating data.
  • Experience in a similar level professional accounting role.
  • Ideally you will be studying towards your CIMA/ACCA qualification however QBE candidates will be considered
