PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR
You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a press brake machine used to bend, form, or shape metal parts. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate and precise bending of metal sheets or components according to specifications. Key duties include reading blueprints, adjusting machine settings, inspecting finished parts for quality, and performing routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient production.
  • Setting up the press brake machine by adjusting parameters like bend angles, speed, and pressure based on the job specifications.
  • Operating the press brake to bend or shape metal parts with precision.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, or job orders to determine the correct dimensions, bend sequences, and tolerances.
  • Selecting, positioning, and securing metal sheets or plates in the machine.
  • Ensuring that the materials used meet the required specifications.
  • Measuring and inspecting the final products to ensure they meet the desired specifications and tolerances.
  • Making adjustments to the machine as needed to maintain accuracy.
  • Performing routine maintenance on the press brake machine to ensure proper functioning.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the production process.
  • Following safety protocols and using protective equipment to prevent injuries.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment by monitoring machine operations and handling materials safely.
  • Working closely with other team members, such as production supervisors and quality control personnel, to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Documenting production activities, machine settings, and any maintenance or adjustments made during the operation.
  • Ensure that all metal parts are bent or shaped according to the exact specification, dimensions, and tolerances provided in blueprints or job orders.
