Job Description

Were seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, Electrical Design Engineer to join our prestigious client near Keele!

If you have experience in electrical control systems design and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Were looking for someone who is technically competent, self-motivated, a multitasker, and passionate about innovation. Experience with Eplan and AutoCAD Electrical is essential.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Design and develop electrical schematics using Eplan and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Ensure high-quality supporting documentation is produced for efficient manufacturing
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers to create effective and economical designs
  • Maintain strong client relationships and deliver outstanding service
  • Keep company designs aligned with current legislation and best practices
  • Work with PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, and intelligent control products
  • Collaborate with a team to deliver innovative automation solutions
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in industrial automation and networks

Hours

Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (flexible)

Pay

£37,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Skills/Experience Required

Essential:

  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Industry knowledge with understanding of related disciplines
  • Familiarity with VSD and soft start technology
  • Strong understanding of legislative compliance and relevant standards
  • Experience in panel design, assembly, and wiring
  • BTEC / HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification in industrial automation
  • Flexible, proactive, and a great team player
  • Excellent prioritisation and workload management skills
  • Leadership skills and the ability to mentor others
  • A forward-thinking, problem-solving mindset

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SCADA, networks, and telemetry principles
  • Experience in PLC, software, and system design/integration
