Financial Administrator, Newcastle under Lyme, Permanent, £26,000pa

Our client is a prestigious global online retailer, and they are currently seeking an experienced people focused Financial Administrator to join their growing team. This is a new role due to internal changes. The successful candidate will be the middleman between sales staff and the outsourced finance provider. As a Financial Administrator, you will report directly into Credit Control Manager.

Daily duties will include:

  • Receiving internal calls from the sales team when a sale has been completed
  • Liaise directly with customers passed through from internal departments
  • Processing applications for credit using the inhouse system
  • Gather relevant financial information in order to progress the application
  • Talking through payment and instalment options
  • Taking initial payments
  • Carry out credit checks
  • Act in a friendly, approachable and professional manner
  • Some elements of internal Credit Control Administration
  • Oversee all payments and credit activity
  • Responsible for banking and refunds
  • Send invoices accordingly

Based in the heart of Newcastle under Lyme, the company have easy transport links and are due to move to newly refurbished offices at the end of the year. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a fantastic telephone manner, and a strong attention to detail. You will also be self-motivated and proactive and have excellent IT skills.
