Job Title: Sales Progressor
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (DOE)
Location: Newcastle Under Lyme
Type: Full time/ Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday/ 40 hours per week
The role
As the Sales Progressor you will play a vital role in support customer enquiries that come into the Business through webchats and any email enquiries. You will be confident in managing inbound calls from customers and have the ability to resolve any questions or queries effectively. In addition, you will use a CRM system to upload customer quotations and requirements.
The role of the Sales Progressor fast paced and busy one but a role that plays a pivotal role within the sales team. You will be very much a team player with excellent communication skills and thrive in a friendly yet busy environment.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Following up quotations with prospective clients to mature sales leads and recognise opportunities to close the sale.
- Update project notes using the CRM system.
- Providing technical and sales advice to customers by telephone.
- Provide weekly reports on order activity and forecasts.
- Gather company and contact data, inputting and updating information into a CRM database.
- Using business tools, project/lead subscription services, web and social media platforms to collate project information relating to a range of market sectors.
- Following up potential business to mature the lead.
- Arrange appointments and plan meetings with potential/existing contacts as require.
Skills and experience sought
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Have the confidence to read through bills of quantities and tender documents
- Experience of a tender process
- Strong organisation and time management skills to ensure that time is managed effectively
- Sales negotiation skills
- Excellent keyboard skills with experience of in-house database systems and MS Office
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with minimal supervision
- Positive, can-do attitude.
Personal Qualities
- Team Player
- Confident with excellent communication skills
- Experience of using CRM systems
- Previous experience of managing quotations and purchase orders is an advantage
