IT Support Engineer - MSP - Newcastle-under-Lyme - £26K-£29K

An IT Support Engineer with good working knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, O365and ideally previous MSP is required by a growing IT Managed Services Provider based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Here you'll be joining a close-knit technical team at a thriving and expanding MSP with real scope to progress into project-focused and escalations role.

Key Skills:

  • Windows OS 11-10 OS
  • Office 365/Exchange
  • Active Directory/AzureAD
  • Group Policy (DNS/DHCP)
  • Networking - VLANs, TCP/IP, exposure to routers and switches
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK Drivers licence and access to a vehicle - essential

Desirable:

  • Previous MSP experience
  • Virtualisation - Hyper-V
  • PowerShell

This is an office-based role, with frequent sites visits around Staffordshire. This is a varied role - Typically you can visit clients up to 2-3 times a week at most. You will continuously be working with the latest tech and getting involved in all aspects of the job which include the following:

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st/2nd line support for all customers via phone, email or face-to-face
  • Following in-depth diagnosis, escalate to 3rd line when necessary
  • Log all incidents and requests within the agreed service desk work management system.
  • Manage, prioritise and plan own work queue and deal with calls within the set SLAs.
  • Identify and drive through opportunities for improvement/change via the Service Improvement.
