Innov8 Agency Ltd are proud to be recruiting for our Award-winning Solicitors Practice client based in Staffordshire. They are recruiting a Senior Property Solicitor (Conveyancer) to join the property conveyancing team within the practice in their Staffordshire offices.

The firm are specialists in property, family law, wills and probate, employment law and sports law the firm and are approachable and knowledgeable. The business is growing its conveyancing and property solicitors team across its multiple branches.

JOB PURPOSE

  • To handle the Commercial & Residential property conveyancing work within the property division

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing a caseload of residential and commercial property matters from inception through to conclusion; including, sales & purchase, of equity, right to buy, shared ownership schemes and lease extensions.
  • Liaising directly with clients, estate agents and lenders.
  • Developing professional relationships, both with clients and with other potential sources of work.
  • Operations Management and line management
  • Generating a fee income in line with agreed targets.
  • Investigate Legal Title for Large development
  • Consider planning documentation CLL’S, SUD’s and Building notices
  • Review and report on Transfer of part and new leases
  • Report on Searches
  • Experience dealing with Help to Buy
  • Managing and monitoring financial aspects relating to the Property team & service.
  • To bill clients promptly and in line with agreed firm policy and charging agreements.

Essential criteria

Qualifications

  • Qualified to Solicitor Level.
  • Experience in Residential property Conveyancing
  • Commercial conveyancing experience or knowledge is an advantage
  • Qualified to degree level. Minimum of a 2:2 level.
  • Post qualified experience of 4 - 5 Years

Experience

  • Minimum of four years as a post Qualified Solicitor with a developed understanding of working in Commercial Residential conveyancing.
  • Experience of risk management within a legal environment.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrable knowledge of law of property principles and transactions.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Case Management
  • Use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
  • IT Savvy in a range of IT systems and processes
  • Excellent people/communication and team leading skills.
  • High level commercial & strategic awareness operating at a law practice level.

  • Self motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to manage high volume and competing workloads.
  • Solution focused.
