We are currently recruiting for an Research & DevelopmentEngineer to join our client's team based within their top-class manufacturing facility in Newcastle Under Lyme. This is a permanent role.

Research & Development Engineer key job details:
- 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1pm Friday (40hrs p/week)
- Salary: 40,000 per annum

Research & Development Engineer key job details:
- Use of Solidworks to design and develop steel products
- Research new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and checking of test reports
- Conduct product testing and performance analysis duringprototype development
- Maintain detailed design records, test results and project documentation
- Remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor products
Research & Development Engineer person specification:
- Experience in product design and development, preferably in steel or construction products
- Experience of product design using sheet metal or other CNC production methods
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks
- CWSP certifies (desirable)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, material properties, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
