Duties

  • Operate and maintain foundry equipment and machinery.
  • Assemble components using hand tools and welding techniques.
  • Fabricate parts from sheet metal according to engineering drawings.
  • Grind and finish products to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of tooling and equipment for maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and resolve issues.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

  • Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for this role.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, welding, and fabrication techniques is highly desirable.
  • Basic maths skills are required for measurements and calculations in the assembly process.
  • Previous experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and techniques is essential for success in this position.

Please note that this role is physically demanding due to the manual labour involved, so applicants need to be physically fit.
