Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a HGV Technician to work in their leading facility in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
For the successful HGV Technician, our client is offering:
- Up to £36,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with every 3rd-week call-out cover (Call out bonuses included)
- Permanent position

The Role - HGV Technician:
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
- Examine heavy vehicles for structural issues or damages
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electronic issues
- Fix or replace malfunctioning parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ensure repaired parts and systems operate correctly
- Discuss vehicle issues with clients or operators to understand problems better
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
- Keep up with the latest technology and techniques in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance
What our client is looking for in a HGV Technician:
- Must hold City & Guilds/apprenticeship or other related qualification. - ESSENTIAL
- Proven experience as a HGV Mechanic - ESSENTIAL
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of vehicles
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Class 1 / 2 driving license - BENEFICIAL
