As our electrician, you will help us provide this for thousands of families across Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean. Delivering a high-quality service for our tenants in their homes, you'll carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and major electrical works. Acting as a Qualifying Supervisor, you will support the electrical team leader to check team members’ work. You'll also provide cover for the electrical team leader when needed.

What you’ll bring to our team

You’ll use your skills and experience to complete works safely and to tight deadlines while providing excellent customer service to our tenants. Good at problem solving and decision making, you will be a key member of our repairs and maintenance team. You will be able to work independently and will keep accurate records of your time and the work you complete.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an approved installation electrician.

  • Demonstrable practical skills in electrical repair, maintenance and refurbishment to domestic properties, particularly in social housing.

  • Experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector.

  • Experience of using integrated housing repairs/maintenance systems.

  • Ability to work outside normal working hours, to support our Out Of Hours Service.

  • Highly motivated with a desire to develop skills, through training and CPD’s.

  • Health and safety at work knowledge.

  • Good communication skills.

Essential Qualifications
