S&you are pleased to be supporting Two Rivers Housing with the recruitment of up to three new Non-Executive Directors.

Two Rivers Housing is a community-based social housing provider. Initially formed as 'Forest of Dean Housing' in 2003, it now manages around 4,600 homes across the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and surrounding area.

Its homes are a mix of modern and traditional properties, which are available for affordable and social rent, Shared Ownership. They also provide supported living for elderly and vulnerable people and a range of other services.

Built on the belief that everyone should have a warm, safe, affordable home, Two Rivers Housing is committed to putting customers at the heart of everything it does.

Now is an exciting time to join the organisation, as it sets out its new three-year plan and embarks on a journey that will shape the future of the organisation. Our Group Chair Ted, along with Chief Executive Hayley and the team are looking forward to inviting new Non-Executive Directors to support this period of change.

They want to hear from a wide range of individuals as part of this recruitment campaign, and have identified the following areas that would strengthen our Board:

  • Commercial Skills
  • Digital Transformation
  • Finance & Audit
  • Property Maintenance and new homes development
  • Safeguarding

As a member of the Board, you'll be expected to:

  • Ensure that Two Rivers Housing is managed efficiently, effectively and in line with the requirements of the law, regulatory bodies, and best practice.
  • Participate fully in the planning of Two Rivers Housing's strategic direction, setting objectives and monitoring performance accordingly.
  • Develop a constructive working relationship with the Chair, executives and other Non-Executive Directors, providing support and guidance in areas of your particular expertise and knowledge.
  • Support and promote tenant and customer involvement and maintain a customer focus.
  • Ensure that decisions taken by the Board are in Two Rivers Housing's best interests and that its legal responsibilities are met.
  • Attend Board and committee meetings regularly, participate fully in discussions, and share responsibility for the decision-making process.
  • Be an ambassador for the Group and be accountable to its key stakeholders.

Key Details

  • Term: Three years with the option to extend to a total of six years.
  • Renumeration: £4,240 per annum, along with the reimbursement of any out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Time Commitment: Six board meetings per year at our office in Newent, along with sub-committees that meet online throughout the year.
  • Additional meetings may be held as and when required, and our board members are encouraged to attend conferences and events where possible and to dedicate some time to learning and development.
