What will you do?
路Manage a mixed-use commercial property portfolio of 600+ council-owned properties, including retail, industrial, offices, land, and community spaces.
路Lead on rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, subletting, alterations, and deeds of variation.
路Negotiate and manage high-profile and politically sensitive property transactions.
路Ensure compliance with RICS standards, property legislation, and council governance procedures.
路Proactively engage with tenants, resolving issues and ensuring income maximisation.
路Identify and implement income-enhancing opportunities within the portfolio.
路Work closely with the Legal Services team on all property-related matters.
路Support the development of asset management strategies and corporate property planning.
路Provide expert property advice to the council, elected members, and stakeholders.
路Lead on managing and advising community and voluntary sector (CVS) occupiers.

What do you need?
To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate ALL the following:
路MRICS or FRICS qualification - Essential.
路Proven experience in managing a commercial property portfolio (within the public sector for minimum 3 years').
路Strong negotiation and decision-making skills in lease advisory, rent reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
路Knowledge of property legislation, asset management best practices, and RICS compliance.
路Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage complex transactions.
路Experience dealing with politically sensitive property matters.
