Smart Teachers are searching for a motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to assist a KS2 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a mainstream primary school in Newham. This is a chance to become a part of the school community and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

About the role
  • Offer one-on-one support to a KS2 child with ASD
  • Support the child with communication difficulties and challenging behavior
  • Assist with class activities and tailored learning plans
  • Encourage inclusive learning and effective behavior management
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
  • Position starts ASAP and runs until the end of the academic year

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Have experience supporting children with ASD
  • Understand preverbal communication

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Previous experience working with children who have SEN
