Smart Teachers are searching for a motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to assist a KS2 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a mainstream primary school in Newham. This is a chance to become a part of the school community and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
About the role- Offer one-on-one support to a KS2 child with ASD
- Support the child with communication difficulties and challenging behavior
- Assist with class activities and tailored learning plans
- Encourage inclusive learning and effective behavior management
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
- Position starts ASAP and runs until the end of the academic year
- 2-form entry Primary School in Newham
- Classrooms and learning environments with adequate resources
- Cooperative and encouraging staff group
- There is on-site parking at the school and nearby parking as well.
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
- Have experience supporting children with ASD
- Understand preverbal communication
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous experience working with children who have SEN
