A Management Accountant position is available working for this well-established organisation based in Newhaven.
Client Details
The company is a well-established Group of companies operating in the UK and abroad. With the bulk of operations done out of the UK, this role will be working across multiple companies within the Group.
Description
As the Management Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management reports.
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation calculations.
- Prepayments and Accruals.
- Various account reconciliations.
- Reconciling inter-company transactions.
- Investigating and reporting any transaction issues.
- Oversee Purchase Ledgers for overseas subsidiaries.
- Ensure information is prepared for the VAT Returns and Returns are submitted as required.
- Liaising with German accountants and auditors on management accounts, VAT and Audit issues.
- Assist the Accountant with tasks/projects and provide some holiday cover.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A strong background in Management Accounting.
- Proficiency in using financial software and MS Excel skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing/product background is advantageous.
- AAT Qualified, or studying towards ACCA/CIMA or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
