The company seeks a skilled and motivated Technical Manager to lead the Technical Team. The ideal candidate will manage design and pre-construction projects, exhibit excellent leadership skills, and drive technical excellence from initial design to project completion.

Skills, Experience & Responsibilities for the role of Technical Manager:

  • Experienced in managing design and pre-construction projects for developments of 5-50 homes.
  • Knowledgeable about JCT Design & Build contracts.
  • Proficient in using Asta Powerproject and Viewpoint for Projects.
  • Strong grasp of the commercial aspects of residential development.
  • Excellent skills in communication and organisation.
  • Coordinate and integrate design tasks into project schedules.
  • Assemble and manage design teams to ensure timely and precise project delivery.
  • Lead pre-development activities, including utility disconnection and regulatory compliance.
  • Obtain client design approval and manage design changes during construction.
  • Collaborate with clients to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Partner with commercial and construction teams to mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain the project risk register throughout the pre-construction phase.
  • Lead design team meetings, ensuring cohesive and cost-effective project designs.
  • Mentor Technical Coordinators and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to project strategies, gather quotes from design teams, and propose value engineering options.
  • Oversee project development through the RIBA Stage 4-7 design process.
