A large, popular 6th form college in North London are looking for a qualified and experienced History & Politics Teacher to join their staff team to teach History KS4&5 and Politics to KS5.

The Role

In this role you will be a full-time History & Politics Teacher taking responsibility for preparation, planning and teaching for 11 – 18 year olds. You will prepare students for exams, coursework, homework, student monitoring, and where appropriate, curriculum development. The expectation is that high levels of student attainment will be achieved. You will join a supportive core subjects’ team and will have good support from the senior leadership team.

 The school are looking for a History & Politics teacher with the following:

  • QTS/PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge across both subjects 
  • A proactive and engaging teaching approach
  • Strong classroom management to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students
  • Ability to use ICT effectively.
