We are recruiting for a Project Quality Engineer to join a well established company in this newly created role which focuses on quality engineering specifically with new products and NPD for customer specific briefs. You’ll bring your experience in managing quality engineering projects and mechanical engineering expertise to achieve customer briefs on new products.

Job duties:

  • Be part of the Projects Teams with New Product Development (NPD) and the Quality Team for In Market (IM) products and improvements
  • Drive successful implementation and evolution of quality tools and industry best practice on all projects
  • Troubleshoot and suggest fixes and improvements
  • Develop and implement quality tools (FMEA, Quality Control Plans, APQP)
  • Support interpretation and test defect monitoring of project DFMEA, PFMEA, DVPR
  • Understand and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, technical manuals
  • Participate in the supplier selection process
  • Support / monitor field trials and manage the tracking and analyses of returns to determine root causes and improvements

Skills & experience required:

  • Experience managing Quality projects in an engineering (mechanical) or manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings
  • Quality related qualifications such as APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVPR
  • Experience in New Product Development / New Product Introduction is a distinct advantage
