We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated multi-skilled Production Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment maintenance, making sure that equipment runs smoothly and reliably, reducing down- time to increase OEE and longevity of equipment.

Job overview

•              Provide rapid technical assistance in the resolution of equipment and plant malfunctions, carry out fault-finding repairs (mechanical, electrical) and repair as necessary.

•              Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes.

•              Develop and refine local operating procedures to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.

•              Develop and implement planned maintenance of jigs, fixtures, plant and other equipment to minimise efficiency losses to production.

•              Manage stocks of supplies and equipment so that repairs can be achieved without delay.

•              Identify and source components required for the assembly of production units.

•              Implementing any changes into production making sure that all process are followed.

Main responsibilities

•              Work closely with the production team to implement changes that enhance overall productivity.

•              Provide technical support and guidance to production staff.

•              Ensure that equipment modifications adhere to quality and safety standards.

•              Implement changes to spec sheets promptly and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

•              Identify opportunities for process improvement in equipment functionality and efficiency.

Educational/Qualifications.

HNC/ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ4 or time served apprenticeship

Engineering/Electronics relevant qualification

Knowledge/experience

Fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic systems and electrical control systems.

In depth lean manufacturing knowledge and experience.
