MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Our client is a world class manufacruing company exporting to over 85 countries worldwide with two subsidiary companies located in the USA and Germany.  The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all UK administration for our customer orders are processed in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES;

  • To support the management of the Central Distribution Warehouse, including the shipping administration team and warehouse.
  • Ensure that all UK despatches are completed on a daily basis and that accurate freight charges are applied to invoices.
  • To book UK customers freight forwarders upon receipt of paperwork and ensure that all relevant documentation is attached to accompany goods.
  • To ensure that all outstanding collections are monitored on a weekly basis and forwarders chased on collections not made.
  • To administer an effective booking system with customers/forwarders for smooth running of the Central Distribution Warehouse.
  • To ensure that all invoice files are filed correctly with all required paperwork. Proof of export obtained where necessary
  • To assist all Departments with any queries they may have about their UK customer’s shipments.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role and have current experience of export process and procedures, excellent IT skills and the confidence to work to the higherst standards to ensure customer satisfaction - dealing with clients in the UK and internatioanlly by telehone and over email. 

THIS ROLE IS TEMP TO PERM - THE HOURS ARE MONDAY TO FRIDAY 0830 - 5PM. yOU WILL BE BASED  CENTRALLY TO THE DISTRIBUTION CENTRE YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO WEAR COMPLIANT SAFETY FOOTWEAR.
