Teacher of Science - KS3-KS4 - Islington

Curriculum Delivery:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum, covering biology, chemistry, and physics.
• Ensure lessons align with national standards and learning objectives.

Differentiated Instruction:

• Tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) or gifted students.

Assessment and Feedback:

• Design, administer, and grade assessments (formative and summative) to evaluate student understanding.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student progress.

Practical Experiments:

• Organize and oversee laboratory experiments, ensuring safety and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Foster hands-on learning and curiosity through practical science activities.

Behavior Management:

• Maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Implement behavior management strategies in line with school policies.

Resource Management:

• Manage and utilize resources, such as laboratory equipment and teaching aids, effectively.

Student Engagement:

• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for science among students.
• Identify and support students struggling with the subject through extra help sessions or differentiated tasks.
