Wire Person / Fitter – Newhaven – Permanent
  
A specialist electronic wiring sub-contractor is seeking an experienced Wire Person / Fitter to join their team in Newhaven. The ideal candidate will have experience in cable assemblies, cable looms, panel wiring, and mechanical fitting.
  
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Work as a Wire Person / Fitter, assembling and wiring electrical components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics, identifying any build issues.
• Test and inspect completed work to ensure high standards.
• Fit and assemble mechanical components, ensuring correct alignment and functionality.
• Carry out basic mechanical modifications and installations.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

  
  
Requirements:

• Proven Wire Person / Fitter experience.
• Ability to follow technical drawings with attention to detail.
• Experience with hand tools for mechanical assembly.
• Strong communication skills and a flexible approach.

  
  
Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hours per week)
