We’re delighted to be supporting a UK Top 20 accountancy firm with their search for a technically knowledgeable tax accountant who can apply their strategic vision to boost the service levels, output and growth of the tax department. This Tax Partner job in Newmarket will suit an exceptionally experienced and capable accountant qualified to CTA level with senior leadership experienced.

You’ll be confident, ambitious and have a CV that showcases a stable but progressive career to date.

Corporate tax advisory skills are essential and you’ll be excited to lead and develop the firm’s offering in this area.

Job Purpose

• Leading a team of tax accountants at an established and growing firm of accountants.
• Working alongside fellow Partners, managing a portfolio of corporate and personal clients in a wide variety of tax specific areas.
• Reviewing and preparing corporation tax computations and workings.
• Leading advisory work with clients.
• IHT.
• Strategic insight.
• Advising on various tax due diligence exercises.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure clients are benefitting from all business services.
• Providing training and development for colleagues and team members.
• Representing the company at networking and business events, identifying new business opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to new and existing clients.
• Setting an example as a hands-on Partner.

The Successful Candidate

• CTA qualified with further accountancy qualifications (STEP, ACA, ACCA, CA) being desirable.
• Technically proficient, with extensive tax advisory and planning experience.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with good people management skills.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Self-motivated and highly organised.
• A team player able to bring out the best in others.
• Constructive mentorship junior team members.
• Confident in networking, representing the firm in a professional manner.
