Our client is currently seeking a Legal Cashier, based within a fast-paced legal firm.

As a Legal Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial operations of the legal firm run smoothly. Your attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and ability to manage accounts payable will contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Working Hours and Pay:

  • 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday
  • £23,000.00-£28,000.00 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain financial databases and ensure data integrity
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Xero, or similar accounting software
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and general accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
