Job Opportunity for Reach Truck Driver (Day Shift)
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Reach Truck Drivers to join our client fast-paced Coldstore Department at our Newmarket depot. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their skills in warehouse operations within a supportive team environment.
Position Overview:
Position: Reach Truck Driver
Location: Newmarket
Type: Temp-Perm opportunity, Full-Time ongoing
Shift Options: Monday to Friday – 9-hour shifts, or 7 on, 7 off Day Shift – 12-hour shifts (06:00 – 18:00)
Competitive pay: £12.40 per hour (plus £0.60 per hour premium for 7 on, 7 off shift only), plus holiday accrual paid weekly
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Heated Reach Truck in frozen storage areas (-18°C)
- Stacking and unstacking pallets on mobile racking with maximum heights of 14m (45’)
- Logging stock locations and confirming orders for dispatch using a warehouse management system
- Assisting with the flow of customers’ products in and out of the supply chain
- Picking stock and assembling pallets of multiple products as needed
- Completing relevant paperwork and documentation
- Maintaining high standards of tidiness and adhering to Health & Safety legislation
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Reach Truck Driver or similar role is advantageous
- Familiarity with MHE is beneficial; however, full training will be provided
- Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative
- Reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high standards
