A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Residential Building Surveyor to join a well-established and reputable firm of chartered surveyors. This contract-based position offers a competitive pro rata salary of £45,000+, making it an ideal opportunity for professionals looking for flexibility while working with an industry-leading company.

As a Residential Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting Level 2 and Level 3 residential surveys and valuations. You will work on a variety of properties, ensuring accurate assessments and reports are delivered to clients in a timely manner. The role can be tailored to suit part-time hours or a flexible working arrangement, making it ideal for those who seek work-life balance while maintaining a professional career.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conduct Level 2 (Homebuyer Reports) and Level 3 (Full Building Surveys) on residential properties across Newmarket and surrounding areas.
  • Provide detailed, high-quality survey reports, identifying any potential issues or defects and advising on repairs or maintenance needed.
  • Carry out property valuations as required.
  • Communicate findings to clients, providing clear, professional advice.
  • Manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Ensure all work complies with RICS standards and company guidelines.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in conducting Level 2 and Level 3 residential building surveys.
  • Membership of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and thorough reports.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel within East Anglia.
