HS&E Advisor

CREM Recruitment has been appointed to recruit HS&E Advisor for one of our well-established Client located on the outskirts of Newmarket.

Key Responsibilities:

• To play a vital role in the Health and Safety Team in protecting employees in the workplace
• Assisting the HS&E Manager/department to ensure that the Company remains up to date with all legislative requirements.
• Updating relevant policies and procedures when necessary and maintaining Company compliance.
• Carrying out, recording, communicating, and implementing workplace risk assessments and producing safe systems of work and assisting when required.
• Carrying out site inspections, and accurately recording observations, near misses and incidents.
• Ensuring visitors and customers compliance of site rules, Company procedures and safe working practices.
• Assisting in the planning, implementation and recording of all operational plant and equipment inspections.

Personal Requirements:

• 3 years experience within a similar Health and Safety role, ideally in manufacturing however other industries will be considered.

• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team using own initiative as and when required.
• Experience of ISO 45001, 14001 would be advantageous.
• Possess excellent communication and people management skills across all levels both verbal and written.

Working Hours and Pay:

• 40 hours per week, 14.00 to 22.30, Mon to Fri
• Up to £43k dependent on experience (including premium for mid shift).
