Junior CAD Draughtsperson
Location: Newmarket, Suffolk
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:45am – 1:30pm
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 Depending on Experience
Benefits: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (rising with length of service), pension scheme, life assurance, half day on a Friday!
Calling Junior Engineers! Our client based in Newmarket is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is interested in pursuing an engineering career in a drawing office environment!
You will be eager to learn, love working with CAD and thrive within a friendly team environment. You may have already gained some experience in Engineering or be fresh out of education

Duties to include:
- Generate production drawings, working from customer supplied information.
- Using both 2D and 3D drawing packages such as SolidWorks.
- Assist with internal sales support to include costing and quoting customer designs from enquiries.
- Assist in the generation of Sheetmetal programs (full training will be given for this aspect)
- General drawing office administration
What we are looking for:
- BTEC level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
- Ideally some previous experience using 3D CAD- preferably SolidWorks- although full training will be given.
- A desire to work in a small friendly team environment.
