Our ever-growing and expanding client in Newmarket, are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a stable, attractive opportunity to get stuck into.
The right candidate will be the shift supervisor with a hands-on approach to the job.
This varied and busy role requires a self-starter, who can work on their own initiative at a supervisory level, with guidance rather than direction.
This is a Permanent position.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 8 am - 4.30 pm
Pay: £26,000 - £30,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Work with the customers to understand their requirements/issues and help drive business improvements.
- Train, develop, and motivate staff.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager and Committee to ensure H&S management best practice is applied, and report any issues, including accidents or near-miss incidents.
- Ensure operational activities are conducted in an accurate and timely manner.
- Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Report any operational issues which occur so that these can be managed and resolved.
Specification:
- Good Warehouse Management experience.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Previous experience managing people and working in a small team.
- "Can do" / Positive attitude.
- Ambitious and ready to take on a new challenge.
- The ability to demonstrate an understanding of business needs, by prioritising activity and resources, and regularly reviewing the performance of the team.
- Intermediate Excel Skills.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment as well as experience of supervising people, where you have motivated and organised the efforts of your team.
