We are supporting a growing, specialist, manufacturing business in their search for an additional Maintenance Engineer. This is a rare day shift opportunity, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week.This position would suit an apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer looking to gain Electrical experience. This Maintenance Engineer works closely with a seasoned Engineering Manager who is keen to mentor and develop those joining the business.

Core duties include:
  • Assisting the Production team to ensure that machinery operates as required, and promptly addressing any breakdowns or issues that arise.
  • Collaborating closely with the Production Engineer to efficiently manage workload in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Planning and executing scheduled maintenance in line with a comprehensive service plan, adhering to strict timelines to maintain high standards of machine and equipment performance.
  • Continuously driving improvements to existing processes.
  • Ensuring that production line setters receive any necessary equipment training, particularly where additional knowledge is required for both new and existing machinery.
  • Designing new jigs, fixtures, and processes aimed at enhancing production efficiency.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of quality management systems.
