Planning Manager required to play a pivotal role in Britain's transition to renewable energy? Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety: Ensure all activities are meticulously planned with adequate time for HSE documentation, approvals, training, and competency checks.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive plans and programmes that incorporate safe working methods and timely construction, including stage diagrams to illustrate sequences.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the programme, make time risk allowances, and contribute to the tender risk and opportunity register.
- Strategic Contribution: Align with the bid win strategy and introduce innovative options to enhance the projects success.
- Communication: Effectively communicate proposed methods and sequences to the project team using visual aids such as stage and sequence diagrams.
- Collaboration: Liaise with Estimating and temporary works departments to ensure all necessary allowances are made.
- Verification: Challenge and verify the programmes and methodologies of suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Site Setup: Independently determine site setup requirements and prepare phasing, logistics, and time slices along with associated methodologies and narratives.
Person Specification:
- Educational Background: Degree qualified within an engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Experience: Extensive experience in planning civil engineering or building projects, whether office or site-based.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in specialist software such as Primavera P6, CAD, PowerPoint, and 4Projects.
- Professional Membership: Membership in ICE or APM is desirable.
