A client of ours in the Newmarket area are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (40 hours per week) and paying up to 27,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
- Process purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, and supplier invoices using ERP and Sage software.
- Manage credit control and ensure debtors comply with company procedures.
- Complete quarterly grant monitoring form and collate delivery notes from stores.
- Match supplier invoices and resolve processing issues with stores.
- Send processed invoices to the Financial Director for payment if not by DD.
- Email daily supplier remittances and file paid invoices.
- Reconcile supplier accounts monthly and resolve issues with suppliers.
- Send monthly customer statements and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Process credit card receipts and monthly statements.
- Assist with Spares support during busy periods, and cover for holidays/sickness.
- Help with stocktake in November.
- Some admin duties are required such as processing sales orders and helping during busy periods.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Accounts Assistant position:
- Previous accountancy experience in a similar role essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in using Sage 50 desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Please note candidates must be local with own transport due to remote location
