Accounts Assistant
27,000 per annum

A client of ours in the Newmarket area are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (40 hours per week) and paying up to 27,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, and supplier invoices using ERP and Sage software.
  • Manage credit control and ensure debtors comply with company procedures.
  • Complete quarterly grant monitoring form and collate delivery notes from stores.
  • Match supplier invoices and resolve processing issues with stores.
  • Send processed invoices to the Financial Director for payment if not by DD.
  • Email daily supplier remittances and file paid invoices.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts monthly and resolve issues with suppliers.
  • Send monthly customer statements and follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Process credit card receipts and monthly statements.
  • Assist with Spares support during busy periods, and cover for holidays/sickness.
  • Help with stocktake in November.
  • Some admin duties are required such as processing sales orders and helping during busy periods.


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Accounts Assistant position:

  • Previous accountancy experience in a similar role essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in using Sage 50 desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Please note candidates must be local with own transport due to remote location
