Hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday - 06:30 - 18:30, 18:30 - 06:30 - 45 hours per week

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Gatehouse Security Officer to join our passionate and driven team based at our client’s site in Fordham, Newmarket

You will undertake general gatehouse and security duties. It is a full time role with night shifts during weekdays and weekend day shifts. The site is located away from public transport connections therefore driving to site for your duties will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide gatehouse cover in accordance with the contract, receiving visitors, staff, and the public.
  • To present a professional and polite image to all customers, both staff and visitors.
  • To adhere to all security guidelines for the permission for access to the site.
  • To promote and uphold the principles of security in accordance with the policies and directive.
  • To adhere to the company’s dress code and wear correct uniform.
  • To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company’s health and safety policy and health and safety management plans.
  • To comply with the company’s policies, management plans and procedures for the role as instructed.
  • To report, and record observations, undertake regular patrols and be a point of escalation to assist with any incidents.
  • To complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience in security role
  • We want to see enthusiasm, a proactive attitude.
  • Have excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • You need to be well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.
  • A Criminal Record Check, employment history and Counter Terrorism Check.
  • SIA Licence
  • Ability to drive and access to a vehicle to reach site for your shifts
