We are currently seeking both aMaterial Supply Operativeto join our team on a Temp to Perm basis. If you have experience in hygiene duties and materials handling, we encourage you to apply.
Position Overview:
Job Title: Material Supply Operative
Location:Newmarket
Type: Temp to Perm
Salary:from 12.30 per hour
Shifts:Rotating shifts (6.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 - 22.00) with paid break
As a Material Supply Operative, you will manage and deliver materials to support production processes, ensuring their timely availability while maintaining hygiene standards. This role includes handling, organising, and monitoring materials in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily pre-start inspection of the yard
- Perform pallet counts and ensure sufficient pallets in the production area
- Maintain appropriate levels of PPE in the changing rooms
- Ensure washing stations are stocked with soap, sanitizer, and hand towels
- Sort and organise uniform deliveries
- Sort waste bags and place them into skips or compactors
- Flatten cardboard and place it into the baler
- Keep rear yard and production floor areas clean and tidy
- Be able to cover Factory Production Operative as needed
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and hygiene standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential for the Skilled Operative role)
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts
