We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and proactive Shop Manager to join our team at our Newmarket Charity Shop.
Experienced in retail management, staff development and team leadership the successful candidate will lead our team of dedicated volunteers to success whilst also building upon the foundations already set in our town centre shop. By doing this you will play a vital role in raising the funds to help us to continue to support pets and their people.
Responsible for its day-to-day management, they will be primarily responsible for ensuring that our Newmarket store maximises and achieves its agreed sales targets. They will do this by;
- Ensuring maximum stock availability through the effective generation, sourcing and processing of high- quality stock.
- Maintaining continual high standards of shop presentation, back of house operations and customer service.
- Ensuring all volunteers are effectively recruited, trained, motivated, managed and supported.
- Presenting and maintaining the highest standards of shop and window merchandising and visual layout.
- Ensuring that all financial, cash handling and security policies and procedures are adhered to.
If you have demonstrable experience of working in the Charity Retail sector or another retail management sales environment with a personable, hands on commitment to achieving the highest retail standards we would love to hear from you!
This is a full time, permanent position with a salary of £26,878.88 per annum. A flexible approach to working will be required as the shop is open seven days per week.
This competitive salary will be complemented by;
- 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to 40 days after five years
