NXTGEN are working on an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant with a strong statutory accounting background to lead a critical Group consolidation project on a 4-week contract.
This fully onsite role is ideal for a Qualified Accountant with hands-on experience in statutory consolidations and reporting, ensuring a seamless and automated month-end process for the Group.
The Group consists of multiple trading entities and non-trading entities, managing various debt and equity instruments within Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document a structured, statutory-compliant month-end consolidation process.
- Develop a robust Excel-based consolidation model with appropriate checks and balances.
- Enable accurate consolidated reporting at multiple levels across the Group structure.
- Automate consolidation postings to streamline ongoing reporting.
- Ensure a smooth transition and handover to the finance team.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in Group consolidations and statutory reporting.
- Proven experience delivering similar transition projects independently.
- Advanced Excel skills, with a focus on automation and financial modelling.
