Summary:
As a Recruitment Consultant at Utility People, you will play a key role in sourcing, attracting, and placing top talent for our clients. Overseeing the full recruitment cycle, you’ll identify hiring needs, source candidates, conduct interviews, and match the best talent to the right opportunities. In addition to recruitment, you will focus on business development to grow our client base and expand our network.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment process, from client onboarding and job brief analysis to candidate sourcing, screening, and successful placement
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand hiring needs and priorities.
- Identifying potential clients and opportunities for business growth
- Attending industry events and conferences to promote our services and build our brand
- Source and screen candidates through various channels such as job boards, LinkedIn, social media and referrals utilising Boolean search techniques
- Provide ongoing support and communication to both candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, and feedback sessions between candidates and clients, ensuring a seamless recruitment experience for all parties involved
- Build customer relationships with both new and existing clients in a competitive market through a variety of channels including networking and exhibition events
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions, job specifications, and client communications using our internal systems
Skills and Experience required:
- Previous experience as a Recruitment Consultant, ideally within the Energy, Water, or Utilities sectors
- Strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to placement
- Proficiency in Boolean search techniques and candidate sourcing
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with candidates, clients, and colleagues
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding recruitment targets
- Ability to work independently and efficiently from home
Role: Recruitment Consultant (Energy/Utilities)
Location: Remote - typically one day per week in our Newport Pagnell office
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 DOE + commission + benefits
